Default reason not in plug in window??

whats up aliens i went to hook my friends studio up and ran into an unexpected snag... i thought it would be standard procedure, he has a macpro dual 2 core with an 003 and reason3.0... i have installed this setup many times so i didnt expect any problems... well they had tried to install everything already and i dont know what they did but im sure it was pure craziness... i uninstalled everything.... then rienstaled PT then reason.... which leads to my first question, reason has no uninstall?? i threw the folder away and the icon?? is that how you uninstall reason?? reason works stand alone but it doesnt show up in plug in menue?? they had no internet so i was using disk from original packaging reason 3.0 and PT 7.3 OSX10.4.8 is it just an update i need?? thanks for any help...

Yes, you need Reason 3.0.5.

I have the same problem, except I'm running XP and PT7.1. I can't get any rewire apps. to show up. I downloaded the demo of reason 3 just to see if I could get it to rewire into PT. No luck. The app I need to run is Plogue Bidule. Any suggestions? I couldn't find any useful info in the answer base or on the propeller head site.

But i dont think 7.0 works on my mac. i did ask the question for a definitive answer as to what i need exactly to get PT to work on my mc but no one got back to me, i think its because no one is really sure haha.

Have you tried trashing preferences yet? What about a new admin account?

I've seen corrupted ReWire components cause this problem - trashing them and reinstalling Reason will usually fix it.

On a Mac you would go to MacHD>Library>Application Support and trash:

Propellerhead Software (folder)
Reason Engine
ReWire
REX Shared Library
REX Shared Library.bundle

Empty the trash, restart and reinstall.

You may need ReWire 1.7...
