Default Time to upgrade

I think its time to upgrade from PTE if the following are true -

PTE doesn't work with MIDI controllers (I have a launch key and Roland TD9 drums)
PTE doesn't work with plugins like BFD3 or Waves gtr 3

What's the best way to upgrade?
