Re: Any tips before installing PT 5.0
When you run any Pro Tools installer, it moves all previous versions of the PT application, system extensions, utilities and preference files into a folder called "Obsoleted Digidesign Software". Quit out of the installer.
Next, run the Plug-ins updaters installer and update all your plug-in files to the current versions. However, it has been discovered that the plug-ins updater does not properly update the Focusrite d3 plug-in file (the current version is 1.3). You will need to manually drag n' drop this file from the CD ROM in the Plug-in updaters>DAE Folder>Plug-ins folder into the System Folder>DAE Folder> Plug-ins folder on your system drive. Last but not least, run the OMS installer since OMS is required with Pro Tools 5 and restart the computer. Brent
