Connect MC Mix direct to Mac under Bootcamp

Hi all, my first post here...

So finally i bought my MC Mix to run under Windows, and reading posts about other PC users it shouldn't be a problem to connect it directly with the crossover cable.

My setup:

- Mac Pro OS10.5.8 running Windows 7 under Bootcamp 3.2
- Airport Extreme (built in) connecting to a wireless network on a Netgear Rangemax WPN824v2 downstairs
- Euphonix MC Mix connected directly to my Mac with the crossover cable

Now in OSX i managed to attach it by setting a static IP on the ethernet connection and copying the wireless connection naming it 'Artist Direct Connect'. The MC Mix is manually set to '169.254.1.2' and subnet '255.255.0.0. Eucontrol see's it right away, no problem.

When doing this in Windows 7 the unit seems to be invisible, i tried to setup a LAN 2 connection with static IP (same as above) but no luck. I keep getting the message 'Unidentified network'. All the drivers are up to date.

What am i doing wrong here?

Update:

I connected the Mac via wired LAN to my router (WPN824v2), then i attached the MC Mix with the cable to the router. I tried two settings, DHCP and Static.

DHCP: the Mix receives a 192.168.001.003 adres, the adapter in Win7 is set to auto (TCP/IPv4) and the Eucon discovery tool in the taskbar also shows a ...1.3 address under network. Eucon does not see the Mix.

Static: I disabled the routers DHCP and reserved an addres for the Mix manually (the Mix's MAC id. was recognized). The discovery tool tells me the adres is in the Euphonix network but Eucon does not see it.

Between the steps i rebooted the Mix and Eucon utility upon new settings but no luck again.
