Control tempo with footswitch
Hi there,
I am just asking to see if I can control the tempo of a Pro Tools 12.6.0 session with a midi footswitch, and if so, how can it be done. I am running a DMXIS lighting rig hosted in Pro Tools (via Black Cat's Patchwork) for a live performance. DMXIS standalone has a footswitch so you can tempo tap while playing. However, the tempo in DMXIS VST is fed by the host DAW. Without having to restrict out performance and play to a click track, is there a way I can control/tap the tempo within Pro Tools with an external footswitch in a live situation? Can't be done with a footswitch. You CAN set tempo via midi, so you might have success with a midi controller or midi bass pedals
