Trouble with new Structure LE

I don't remember what I discovered as to what the "rules" were that things would get funky. It all had to do with the path that Structure had to "look" down to get to the samples and patches. This would most crop up if you moved folders after installing or creating patches.

I had various problems with Structure because of this.

Be sure that your folders have no illegal characters.

I, and probably the others, are using a default install... and like others have said, it's only with the studio kit. All of the ohers work fine.. (drumkits that is).

Yes. I, too, am using a default install and the file with the missing samples is in its default location. To me, it seems likely that there is a problem with the 'Studio Kit.big' file that's in the MPTK2 download installer; the MD5 hash of 'Studio Kit.big' on my computer is: 73ae8dd4f33fd9bb3331b77b77d6ae30

I've poked around for a stand-alone installer for LE, to no avail. I wanted to try and re-load it, but not at having to load PT again as well..

Digi, are you going to chime in on this?

I've contacted tech support and they're sending me the stand-alone installer. They've sent it via DigiDelivery and, apparently, the download's going to take 16 hours! I'll let you know whether or not it solves the problem.

Might have remembered the procedure to fix things...

Just had to fix something. This happened because I had created favorites.

This may or may not be, helpful for you.

Structure remembers stuff by creating aliases here:

Mac:
Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Air/Structure/Favorites

PC: I don't know where.

For some reason they appear to corrupt. Delete the alias and recreate the favorite. Solves Structure not being able to see stuff.

Something similar may be happening with your installs. I had it happen to me, to my Goliath and my stock and custom libraries. Then I did something similar to above and fixed it. It is fixable.

I had my problem today because I had moved libraries to a different drive. Structure still had the old alias. I deleted the alias and Structure now saw my libraries. Structure for whatever reason is just weird like that. LOL.

Well, the download/recieve/whatever-you-want-to-call-it failed after about 660 MB. And it can't restart where it failed. Tried again and it now says it's going to take more than 48 hours! So much for DigiDelivery being faster and more reliable than FTP.

I'm assuming you're all installing the content from your original Structure LE install DVD, yes?

If not - where are you getting the content?

Also, has anyone had this working on their system and only run into problems after an update?

For those installing the plug-in from a download - where did you get that download? From your MyDigi page or elsewhere?

Lastly, can you all tell me what the version number of the Structure LE plug-in is in your plug-ins folder?

Download for me. The problem has been there since the initial install. Downloaded from My Digi. Version 1.0.5316 (comes up on Structure when instatiated on a track).

In c:/program files/common files/digidesign/DAE/plug ins/
Structure.dpm (no version no.) Date Modified -8/15/2007 5:43PM 19.0MB
Structure.dpm.rsr (no version no.) Date modified -1/10/2007 6:54 PM 286 bytes

I could find no way of getting a version no. off of the plugin files.. The above is all of the information I could gather when holding the mouse pointer over the file.

Again, this is all from the downloadable files on My Digi. A brand new install onto a brand new HD. Nothing was installed over an old version, etc...

It seems it's being ignored (as well as the email to CS) and it's frustrating me to no end.
