Angry Pro Tools 10 Midi Patches

Having a problem trying to activiate Midi patches. If I go to Library/audio /Midi Patches it comes up with patches for various keyboards, mine being Kurtweil Pc3 K8, when I select "Change" and then the patch, nothing happens, no matter what keyboard I select no patches appear. OMS used to work so easily. Is there something wrong with what I am doing?
Thanks
Mike

Same here with 10 on Mac. Selecting the patch list does nothing. I thought it might have been a Kurzweil definition issue (PX1XL here), but none of my old Roland stuff is selectable either. AMS device definitions and patch lists working fine in DP, so not an OS thing. I'll check the PC side when I get a chance.

Patch lists in PT10.0.1 appear to work fine on the PC (same config as Mac side - Bootcamp). On the Mac side still not working for me. In previously created MIDI tracks (prior to 10) nothing happens when I select patch and try to change the patch list - just numbers, no errors and no patches after selecting the patch list file. On new MIDI tracks I get the error 'MIDIServer patch file, bank or mode information not available for this MIDI instrument' - twice when clicking the select patch button and then twice again after navigating to the patch file and selecting in the change dialog. I've deleted MIDI preferences BY Host, recreated MIDI devices in AMS, etc. and same.

Just checking - are external device patch lists working for anyone in 10.0.1? I've deleted all the prefs (OS and PT), deleted/recreated the entire MIDI studio and still not working on Mac. If they're not working for someone else or the OP has not found a fix, then maybe it's broken. TIA

Got it working - deleted/recreated MIDI devices again after removing all Digi/Avid MIDI defs (.middev, .midman), and am just using MOTU defs now. Navigated to patch files and voila, patches appear for all devices. I've had problems with multiple definition files in the past, but have never had to remove anything - usually just delete and recreate the device.

Nearly 4hrs of tech support, and the problem was Mac OS problem. Trash each instrument and create new instruments - correct spelling is very important. You may have to trash the user/library/preferences/com.apple.audiomidietcetcetc, and restart. then create new instruments etc., etc. AMS is not always "healthy" though everything may look OK.
