PT10 iLok 2 or Original

Don't know if this question has been asked or not.

Do I need the new all singing all dancing iLok 2 for PT10 license?
Or can I stick with the original?

The original works fine. The newer iLok just holds more licenses.

I would say buy an iLok 2 if you plan to move the ilok around a lot, from a desktop to a laptop for example. The 2 is much sturdier and doesn't give you that fear that it's going to snap off if you brush by it.

+1 With regards to the improved compact design.
Depending on where you are based the guarantee is also twice as long.
It glows a nice blue and has s pace for a logo too!

But am I the only one who wonders why Avid didn't figure out a way to make the doggone cap stick to the end of the iLok when it's inserted, just so you don't have to find a place to put it? Seems like a stupid design flaw from a cosmetic and convenience standpoint. I mean every USB drive in the world allows you to stick the cap to the end when you're using it.

I know, minor grumble.
