Default trashing preferences

Hey... heres a humorous one for you all....

where do u go to trash to PT preferences on my MAC?

also... what is this used for?

i am reluctant to mess around with my system because my CD went missing....

But what does he mean with "you have to do it for every mounted drive?
Isn't it all just located on your main HD?

Or do you have to trash the "Digidesign Databases" folders aswel?
