Annoying Shared Files on Vista

Hello...simple yet inconvenient problem I have here:

All my Pro Tools Projects save themselves in shared folders. To delete them, I have to first unshare them (which takes about two-ten minutes in Vista) first.

Anyone know why Pro Tools files are automatically shared / how to turn this off?

Or is there another way to delete projects?
