mp3 bounce will not record bus groups!

Hi, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here, hopefully someone can let me know what it is ....

I'm bouncing an mp3 from a mix that has the drums grouped through stereo bus to a pair of tracks, and percussion grouped to another pair of tracks.

Both grouped pairs have the green 'I' button on so I can hear the audio, and both are outputted to Analogue 1-2, as are all the individual tracks in the mix.

When I try to bounce to an mp3 (not sure it if it happens with WAV, but I presume its the same thing) I hear (and record) only the individual tracks, but not the two pairs of grouped tracks.

I ended up recording the two groups, then bouncing, and that was fine, but not what I wanted to do .... so why can't I record what I hear?

I'm using Pro Tools 12.4 with a Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

Pro Tools does not include tracks that are either record-enabled or in Input Only monitoring mode in the bounce.

This is taken from the manual. Personally, I don't use BTD.

Thanks for that, if I ever saw it in the manual then I've forgotten it!

Doesn't make sense though ..... if you can hear it you should be able to record it ....

If you switch drums and percussion subs from audio to aux tracks, you should be golden.
