PlugIn question
Hi all!
I am planning to buy a amp modelling/distortion plugin. Has anyone of you compared the McDSP Chrometone with Line6 AmpFarm? My main application will NOT be electric guitars; I am just looking for a multi-purpose plug to give miscellaneous signals this crunchy vintage amp sound. My next matter concerns the Digi upgrade plus. i am thinking about which plugins I should choose. Now I am using McDSP Filter- and Compressorbank and am pretty satisfied with both. Could Smack or the Pultec bundle broaden my horizon? How good does DINR work? Could it be compared to the Cedar-algorithms regarding quality? Thanks for your opinions. C |

Re: PlugIn question
hi
mcdsp chrometone is great i couldn't live without it does an excellent job - use it on anything and everything that needs some crushing or character i would only use amp farm for bass amp modeling or clean guitar amp modeling - not a big fan of its sound... sansamp is much better for distorted guitar (eg, hard rock/heavy metal) hope it helps thanks! |
