Default Time code and Analog???

Hi,
I have a digi-002 factory. I also have a Tascam TSR-8 8-track analog reel to reel. My question has to do with time code. I would like to be able to record with the TSR-8 and somehow have it locked up to the Digi. So, is the digi-002 capable of creating and or sending time code to use with the TSR-8? And for anyone who has done this, when I have the Digi locked to the TSR-8 and I am recording on the TSR-8 first, will I be able to SEE that same audio being printed to the digi via my monitor? Or do I record all 7 remaining tracks (minus track 8 for time code) and then dump them to the digi? Could someone who has done this sucessfully explain the process in detail?
