Free Protools Video Tutorials

Digidesign use to have a page on their site where you could download free tutorial video...I believe they called the series DiSK??

Can anyone assist me in finding some tutorial videos on Mastering Basics….ie, Limiting, Compression, EQ techniques using PTLE?

I know the ones you mean, I think they went the way of the dodo when digi upgraded their site last year. They have new videos at "protools accelerated videos" - see this link...

If you find the old Disk Flix ones, let us know cos there was some good stuff in those. Maybe they might pop up on you Youtube.

The DISKFLIX link in the DUC Archive is no good. I could swear within the last month or so some posted a link that worked though.

Note To DIGI, Please relink to the DiskFlix! They are still a valid teaching material.

Hey Guys thanks for all the info. I do have the orginal Disk Flicks (the ones currently on YouTube) also, I have the ones that Kenny did (those tuturials are great!!).

However, the ones that I'm looking for sound like newer DiSk Flicks and the titles are:

I've tried YouTube with no luck.

Or are you referring to the Groove Box videos , though they are not free.

No not the first link but, I'm starting to suspect that what I've heard were snipits of tutorials that are not free. Thank you for the 2nd link...I'll have to check them out.

It probably wasn't the Groove Box ones anyway thinking about as I'm pretty sure they are Quicktime mov. files, not avi's - and you can't actually download them. You either view them on the website for as long as you're a member, or just pay for the cd's of the QT mov's.

There are a few free videos on there if you fill out your details for the G-pass.

I also think there used to be some free videos on the Secrets of the Pro's and the Mix it like a Record websites to entice you into purchasing the DVD's.
