It recognized a few i have (absynth and massive), but it didnt find my other ones.

Is there an option to rescan for plugins or can i direct it towards where they are located?

VST is not a supported native Pro Tools format however most plug-ins have an RTAS installer. Other methods require third party applications, for instance, VST to RTAS Adapter and VEP.

U got it. Coming from PC are you?

Now with Lion you must navigate to finder holding option key down to reveal user library. Unlike all previous Mac OS, it is hidden, ditto with Safari Cookies.

PTs plugins are RTAS or AAX/TDM depending on hardware and Pro Tool's version (we know this) unless you are in Reaper/Ableton/Cubase as a rewire slave. Torque also now supports VSTs. I linked Cockos forum discussion re: Absynth and FM8 not playing nice in Reaper 4.14 currently.

AUs run in Reaper now w/ 4.14 32 or 64 bit OS, Logic or Digital Performer, or Garageband as AU's are native Mac OS. So on any Mac OS, AU's have a built in path. Not so with VSTs or RTAS or AAX (they must be manually created (directory-path) or have Cubase ,Reaper, Ableton, or Torque and Pro Tools installed prior to Native Instruments VI installations (or manually create a path for VST, VSTis to install -- ditto with RTAS, etc).

Why not run Massive as AUs in Reaper 4.14 as a rewire slave... plugins are more efficient. Less taxing on CPU.

If installer doesn't find an RTAS path/ folder for user, even if you check install RTAS VIs in Native-Instruments installer window, they won't get installed. Only AUs on a stock Mac OS as they have a pre-installed AU folder/path.

VSTs, VSTis will not be installed either if a path is not found.

...or the VST wrapper first as mentioned above. NI installer can then install (except for separate libraries) Komplete Instruments in all three formats (VSTi, AU, RTAS)

On this subject. Absynth Twilights goes to OS drive, same with Reaktor Patches. ALL KOMPLETE SAMPLES/Any Samples must be on a separate drive than the audio drive (meaning three drives total) but everyone knows this?
