Volume levels
Hi,
Could someone please help me out with this. I do voice recording and when a person talks, his voice will go loud and soft at times. Now, is there a way that I can level out the volume so that it will be uniform throughout a piece of audio. Right now I am normalizing the audio first, the manually adjusting increases or drops in the voice level. It is really time consuming for long pieces. Thanks for you feedback. Regards Shameeta |

Re: Volume levels
Hi There.
Thanks for the reply. I'm on my way to what though? I am not very good with the software so you have to explain a little bit more. So, there's no way to make the volume uniform by just on command? Thanks Shameeta |

Re: Volume levels
The "You're On Your Way" line above is a link to an SOS article that covers all that you have asked.... Basically you are interested in learning about compressors...Compressors raise levels that are too low and of course limit signals that are too loud.... Great article to read though....take care
