NAMM will probably hear something I am guessing.. I may grab the existing one now, since it's a good deal at the moment thru Sweetwater for like $899.00 with the expansion pack...

I don't think we can expect another expansion pack. My guess is that, now with the release of the Axe FXII, we will see an Eleven Rack II in 2012.
If Avid still wants to compete with the axe fx offcourse ...

Not to mention the Kemper.

11/11/11 was really just a pipe dream. You know hope for the hopeless. But with theChimp - I hope he survived the job axings - and Chris T., being involved with "other" projects and still not really having a solution for the preinstalled ERXP - on the newer units, you can almost smell that Avid aren't that concerned with producing another Xpansion pack. I would love to be proved wrong. And for that matter Avid aren't really concerned with any previous users of Pro-Tools, I would like to upgrade to PT10 to get clip based gain (like I had with Ableton LE). but, it's not going to happen at the current cost.

It's a shame really on both counts. Now what are Kemper up to....

My prediction for the Kemper is that it isn't going to appeal to mass audiences the way the 11R does. Not everyone has even a decent room to create profiles in. My guess is that a marshall cranked in a square living room is going to profile more room, and less marshall. Not everybody knows how to mic a cab, what angle and what distance to use, on axis or off axis and how it will affect the profile, including myself.

The Kemper is a different beast than 11R, it will be great for those who own a studio and have a good room to record in, as well as knowledge of miking techniques. But for average guitarists lacking the tools to create a decent profile, 11R is still king.

And with that I REALLY hope for an update on 11/11/11
