Default Anything like an RTAS 'MPC' plugin out there?

I know that re-wiring any number of apps will accomplish something like this, but I wonder if there is a simple RTAS plugin that can be used in this fashion: essentially either record or import a sample, cut it or whatnot - MPC style - then trigger it with a keyboard or pads... I haven't heard of any such animal, and am curious. Thanks!

Nathan

Never used an MPC, but I can't conceive of any sample edit/playback scenario that can't be done with Pro Tools + Structure Free quickly and easily.

Try BATTERY 3 by Native Instruments.
Its a very user-friendly virtual instrument that resembles a MPC.
There are a lot of useful tools built-in, to help tweek your samples. You can also set up your pad grid with more than enough samples when building a drum kit or sample kit.

Thanks for all your replies!

I think Geist might actually be the closest I've seen. Nice recommendation. I'll pass it along.
