PT8 not talking to C8
PT8 won't recognize Command 8.
A new day, a new challenge. When I started up PT8 this morning, as opposed to last night, I get the Error Message: "Error occured while trying to load the controller personality Command8" Any suggestions? |

Re: PT8 not talking to C8
You might want to trash the current controller personality and reinstall the Command|8 drivers from the Pro Tools installer.
It sounds as if the current profile is corrupted. You can find it at c:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Controllers. |

Re: PT8 not talking to C8
Thank you for the suggestion. I took your advise but still get the following message. "PT8 unable to communicate with C8. Power-cycle C8 and check connections."
When I lauch PT8 the C8 reconizes that PT is there because the LCD Display indicates that "PT has a dialog on screen." As soon as I open a seesion, C8 faders spring to life and the LCD Displays the track names. Shortly after that, the pop appears, "PT8 unable to communicate with C8. Power-cycle C8 and check connections." PT8 works fine without the C8, but that's not the point then is it! I have tried the Digi C8 help page with regedit and reinstall. I don't know? Any more suggestions? |
