Default My favorite part about the Avid Survey.

This is such a great example of Avid's ability to do things.

I was taking their survey this morning but can't advance past the page with question 17. http://www.ronw.com/avid.png

The problem being that your answers can not exceed 28 points total. My total was 23 which is less than 28, but the error window comes up saying it must be LESS than 28, which is it....so I quit.

Dear Avid,

I wonder if you've ever considered testing ANYTHING outside of your office bubble.

Perhaps you should do a survey of your survey techniques?

Do you really think they are going to react to whatever results they come up with? I don't.

It's probably like buying a lottery ticket, but if you don't buy you wont win at all.

It should read "Sum must equal 28 points" so we have passed this on for correction.

Understand this was frustrating, but we are human and despite our efforts there are occasionally things we miss. Very sorry that our mistake here affected you.

You may as well fill it out unless you just like to grumble in private. That part was actually easy. You rate the choices in order with a number between 1 and 7, using each number one time. The total is 28

You are entitled to your opinion and it's your decision whether you want to complete this survey or not.

For those that would like to communicate their perspectives to us to help us improve our products and services, please fill out the survey. Thanks!

Exactly Dave. List the choices available you see most important and rank them accordingly from 7 to 1 (7 being the most important). The total should only be 28.

That's only for HD TDM...if you have Native, the total is 33.

I kid.

Dear Ron,
I'm sorry you are having a hard time with the survey interface and getting that specific question to add up to 28. It actually does the work for you and sums the total as you change each rating. So far - between last year and this year over 1,400 people have not seemed to have a problem with it. But, I'll be glad to change the wording to read "Total must equal 28 Points". I'm sorry for any hassle you've incurred.
Surveys, although not perfect, are a good way to get a broad level of feedback from our customer base and allow us to distribute the info internally across all areas of the organization to those who may not get as much chance as they'd like to get out in the world and meet with customers like you. All of us value the time when we can 'get out of the office bubble' and spend time with customers and see the great work they do with Avid products.
Thanks,
Tom
