Default OSX 10.2.2 and Pro Tools 12

Ok, ok, I know don't do it until AVID clears it, but just wondering if any brave souls have upgraded.

Please post your findings here!

Thanks,

gH

What are you asking here !?

osx 10.2.2? If you mean 10.12.2 and PT HD 12.6.1 then works great on nMP 6c.

Yes, exactly.

Thanks!

I'm running it now. I think if you go through all your plugins and remove any that aren't specifically certified for Sierra you should be OK.

I'm curious why exactly anyone would advance to a non-approved OS?
Thrill seekers? Risk taker personality? LOL
Seriously, though... very curious.

Those who have to keep their system online. Latest OS is the most secure.

I'm thinking of moving up to Sierra from 11.4, due to issues between iZotope on pre MacOS releases in Cubase. Is there a way of going to 12.1? If not, 12.2 would appear to be my only choice. Which isn't supported by PT. Great.

Basically, OS upgrades will at some point make a mockery of anyone's upgrade policy. Every developer - and most of us work with a lot - treats it differently. iZotope insisting on MacOS has thrown a spanner in my works...

You'd need to find someone who made a bootable version of 10.12.1 or earlier, which may prove to be difficult. However, if you're nervous about 10.12.2, just clone your current boot drive so you can revert if necessary.

I CAN say that 10.12.2 is running smoothly here, including iZotope plugins (RX5, Trash2, Nectar, and DDLY).
