selection snaps to markers?

hi guys, new here!

im curious, is there anyway for my selection to snap to markers...say im selecting a piece of audio that i want to copy, when i click and drag to next marker it looks like the selection is on the markers but when i zoom in real close it's never where i have the markers...for what im doing, need it to be exact

do i have to hold a shortcut key or something?

i know how to snap clips to the markers, not looking for that

Move Insertion Point to marker e.g.
Marker 1
.1. (Numeric keypad)

Marker 2
.2. (Numeric keypad)

Start-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) the clip with the Time Grabber tool.
The clip will move to the marker.

I cannot get this to work if Options/Dynamic Transport is enabled.

thanks for responding Richard but that's not what Im trying to do. I fixed my post to make it more clear.

say i have a 30 second clip and want 5 seconds of it, i place marker at start of 5 seconds maker at end. when i go to select from start of marker to end the selection never goes exactly to the marker (snap). so i have to waist time and zoom in very close to get selection right on marker

update...im told from my resident PT expert at work that its not possible. doesn't make sense, every other DAW i have used has this
