PT 11 HD on Macbook w UA Apollo Twin?

Hey!

I own a nice Mac Pro based Pro Tools 11 HD Native rig with the HD 16x16 I/O. 'Love it!!!

But I plan on buying a used Macbook with Thunderbolt interface along with a UA Apollo Twin to use for mobile recording. (For those not familiar with the Apollo Twin, it sports a Thunderbolt interface)

Will I be able to install and run my PT 11 HD software on that and run it ok? Or am I forced to go out and buy a whole new non-HD version of PT for the laptop?

Assuming a compatible computer, you can install the HD software on as many systems as you like(only the iLok allows it to open and work). Of course, with different hardware, you might have to make some minor adjustments to your workflow, but HD software will work with almost ANY hardware(including the onboard audio on the MBP).

It will work fine, as Albee said. In fact, you will have most of the extra HD software features as well (higher track count, VCA tracks, Surround, etc.).
