Default Problem authorizing SSC w/iLok

I just recently got Soft Sample Cell, installed it, launched SSC Editor, detached the license card and inserted into iLok key(as I done in the past) but when I click "Next", instead of getting the "authorized" screen, I get the box which asks what disk I want to authorize(Mac, other,....). Is this a bug?

Could my license card be bad? Anyone else with this problem?

By the way, I'm running PT HD 5.3.1 and SSC is the newest version, 3.1.

Hope to hear from someone soon, Digi's on vacation for a week!

could also be pace-related. I think i've seen with people suffering from stuff like this, and i think they needed a new pacelok driver.

Well, believe it or not, I picked up a copy of TechTool Pro today( I know it's not everyones favorite around here). My system has been freezing up lately during boot up. I tried Norton Utilities but nada.

So while running TTP, it showed that parts of SSC needed to be repaired(minor) so I went ahead. After rebooting, I gave authorizing it one more shot. This time it took!

So now that's taken care of, back to the health of my system hard drive. Anyone have a sure way of finding out if their system hd is going bad??

Also, is there a way to find out without having to remove all the PCI and SCSI cards?
