DIGITALMETAL, Fatcode's biuild is based on the Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3.

My build is based on the H55-USB3.
It works like a charm. Everything works and the HD & i/o options are much better than the Jetway for sure.

Fatcodes Guide is based on the Jetway, At the end it mentions buying the Gigabyte but its not what the guide was written about, and his sig says that board is a Native setup not HD Accel

How many HD cards do you have in yours 3 ?
*Just noticed in your sig you are not even using HD cards* have you even tried your system with HD cards?

*EDIT* Eww just noticed its Socket 1156 ;0(

Yes, I have an HD3 PCIX system using the H55-USB3 board.
No problems running PT9HD or PT10HD.
I have an RME card which let's me run PT natively as well.

A friend just sent me a GA-P75-D3 board. It has 4 PCI slots on a row.
I was going to try an HD4 build but I can see the heat sink will not allow the longer PCIX cards to work without modifying one or the other.

(There is a GA-P75-D3P version with a low profile heat sink but I can't find it for sale. It doesn't offer the i/o options of the H55 but it does offer double the memory and that 4th HD card.)

You won't have that problem with the H55. The cards fit with no obstruction.

DigitalMetal, I am using HD and yes the H55 is an 1156 CPU socket.
It's over clocked, rocket fast and stable with both PT9HD OSX 10.6.8 &
PT10HD OSX 10.7.4

Ok but 1156 is too old technology to buy now and the CPU's are silly prices, no way im going with that,

look at page 22 of this thread i saw your post about the P75 board it looks a better option and i don't mind modifying the heatsink but it doesn't look like its available in the UK and the memory support is a little limiting but not the worst thing in the world, i would love just one more PCIe slot just to be future safe too.

You've got me a little confused. I just read pg 22. I didn't post anything.
I was posting about the Jetway MB and if anyone got a stable HD4 system running. I didn't get an answer that made me feel I wanted to take a chance with that MB or the newer Q77 version.
There are NO kext written for them and I am not a PC guy.
So the Gigabyte boards which are very HACK friendly seem the easier route.
My 1156 build is a few years old so I am going to build a newer one based on the Intel 3770 CPU with hopefully HD4 & 32Gb of Ram.

First post on P22 i quoted your post about the P75 board and i had a discussion about it with Dism,

All I meant by it really was that I'm aware of that board because you posted about it before.

OK. I asked a friend in Tokyo to pick it up for me.
I called Gigabyte and they said that particular MB was only being sold in the Asian market. He sent me the D3 with the standard blue gigabyte heat sink.
As you can see in the photo the D3P has what looks like a low profile grey heat sink. The specs on both boards are identical.
Not as many Sata connections as I have now.
No built FireWire but it does support USB3 natively as well as PCI.
And there is the MSata SSD option.
You trade off 4 PCI SLOTS and lose a PCIe slot.
You're only ever going to get 7 slots.
That's the format these MBs are based on.

I think JimDrake has HD4 running on a Jetway mobo:

I know nothing about PCs. I've always worked on a Mac.
He only built an HD2 system that took him a full 7 days to get running.

The process he outlined would give me a nervous breakdown.
