Default USB-C & Thunderbolt confusion ??

Hi Guys,

I'm a little confused with the whole USB-C and Thunderbolt thingy.
All I want to know is can I run a Thunderbolt interface from the USB -C socket on my PC? Im running W10. Here is a link to my motherboard. Hoping one of you clever dudes can answer this for me.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can with that board (but the audio interface manufacturer will still need to be supporting TB on Windows and providing drivers)., There are not any C-type interfaces available tomy knowledge so you'll need an adopter to adapt between C-type and TB1/2 type such as this one.
