Default SR Convert in PT5.1 Import Audio Dialogue Box

Hello again to all...

In previous versions of PT, using the Import and Convert function allowed the user to import audio that wasn't at the same sample rate as your session, and convert (duh!) it to the correct sample rate.

In PT5.1 and the new "streamlined, all-in-one" Import Audio dialogue box, the user is offered a "Convert" option if the audio is of a different bit depth or file type, but if the sample rate of the desired file doesn't match the sample rate of the session, you are not given an option to convert it. Instead, you are allowed to import it but receive the classic warning message about "Imported audio at a different sample rate will not play back at the correct pitch" etc.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Apologies if I am missing something in the manual, haven't had to time to peruse the entire thing yet!

All the best!

Chapter 9 (around Page 90) of the Reference Guide:
"Use Copy when the file you are importing is of the correct bit depth and file type, but it is at the wrong sample rate, and you want it to play back correctly"

The new dialogue User Interface needs a bit of tweeking. The option "Copy" should become "Copy/SRC" or something that would hint to the user that this function also serves as a sample rate conversion option.
Also in the manual it is not listed under the heading "Convert" on page 92. It is under the heading "Copy" now why on earth would anyone think to look under the heading "copy" when trying to find out how to import and sample rate convert a audio file?
Moral of the story is, please add the text for "Sample Convert" from within the import dialogue window so that people can preform that function without always having to search through the manual to figure out how to do it each time.
