Hi people, can anyone tell me how to import files of a different tempo into pro tools without it conforming to the session tempo???
I want to keep the imported file tempo but don't know what the hell I am doing.

Setup>Preferences>Processing>Conform Ot Session Tempo>select None

Ok so I did as the post said but when I did the import the file still slowed,not to the tempo of the song but it slow and changed the pitch of the file, I am using HD 10 can anyone help with this??

Are you seeing a message regarding different sample rates when importing? Its probably operator error, but without watching you do it, its tough to guess at. Maybe hit youtube and search for videos on something like "importing audio into Pro Tools"(without the quotes)

Operator error might be the right answer, I am still learning pro tools so anything is possible albee1952, will double check that and let you know.

So I did try to import a file into my session again and the session sample rate is 44.1 but the file I am importing is 4800, I want the imported file to stay at 48 but the session at 44.1 can anyone say how to achieve this?
