Can the 001 be unplugged???
dumb question, but better safe than sorry... Can the DIGI 001 be unplugged from the computer (while the power is off) and the computer used without damaging the PCI card? I'm moving my system and dont want to lug the rack with my 001 in it just to use the PC when I'm not using protools. I only ask because I used to have a Delta 1010 rackmount and it needed to always be connected to the computer or the card could be damaged.
Thanks, -Ryan |

Re: Can the 001 be unplugged???
Turn power off first (you knew that but worth repeating)
Yes both pieces can operate independently of each other but with out complete functionality of course. the PC will still run protools without the break out box attached and the optical and spdif works. Just don't connect/disconnect while powered up. Did I say that already:) |
