Angry SPDIF white noise issues from preamp...

I recently purchased the ART DMPA II (digital) preamp that I'm using with my Presonus Digimax FS through the 002. I purchased the ART to allow 18 inputs when tracking. The Digimax is connected via adat and ART via spdif. The problem i'm having is that there is BAD white noise coming through the track enabled from the ART preamp. I'm clocking through ADAT optical (the DIGIMAX). I don't think it's a clocking issue becuase there are no popping noises. Both Digimax and ART are set to 48k 24 bit. I have also tried in 44.1 with the same issues. ANY SUGGESTIONS? PLEASE HELPPP!

The ART also needs to be clock synced with the master (Digimax). Get a word clock cable (BNC) and connect from the word out of the Digimax to the word in on the ART. Put the ART into word clock sync. problem solved.

Sorry, i forgot to add that I do have a BNC cable from the DIGIMAX to the ART.... still same issue. What do you mean "Put the ART into word clock sync?" In PT setup, i have optical/adat chosen. I'm running 7.3 LE.

See the Sample Rate/Dither knob? Turn it to Ext/24.
