Pro Tools lags when doing midi operations while using controller's automation

Hi,

I have a CC automation on an instrument track in Pro Tools 9. For example CC1 - Mod Wheel. Having so I am experiencing Pro Tools lags when opening midi editor of this track, deleting or changing length of notes in midi editor etc. I do not have lags when drawing a new note and moving it via mouse.

Do you know the reason? Is it due to the lack of RAM memory or weak CPU?

I'm currently on Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, 2,83 GHz, 8 GM RAM, Win7 64 bit
