PT12 Upgrade Plan expires tommorow. HOW TO RENEW????

Im going crazy…but how in the world can i renew my Annual upgrade plan?? I receive Notifications in Avid Application Manager and when i go to my Avid Account i can find nothing there to lead me to a renewal-link or something like that!!
Why has it to be so complex again???

Agreed.

I called Avid today. They said there was currently no option for me to renew my annual plan on the site which for me expires tomorrow. They said they would make a case file and allow me purchase the plan after the expiration. So you may want to do the same.

I also did not feel like the person I talked to could guarantee me anything, he had no facts to tell, only assumptions. A very simple conversation lasted some time, was not excited about it.

did anyone of you solve the problem or did the renewing of the plan worked out for you?
I have exactely the same problem, my plan expires on 19.1.2016 and i see / have no option to renew it...
application manager shows nothing and in my account there is also nothing.

i know it's still 2 weeks until my plan expires, but i just want to be sure to have enough time to solve upcoming problems early enough...

as shown in the picture, there is nothing

any help / advice would be great!

I have news…

I contacted Avid for 3d time and this time they told me that i have to buy a renewal Code …from a reseller…
I realised that they had no idea…so i contacted Sweetwater.

They were very nice and they told me that they can sell me an annual upgrade plan… so i bought it for 99 dollars.

i activated it and… now i have 2 IDs , and actually 2 plans. One is the new one which expired next year and the previous one expires today…
If i go to my Ilok account i see 2 Subscription Plans…

I really have NO IDEA what i should do…Should i deactivate the previous Subscription plan from my Ilok??

Avid made us CRAZY…its f…ing annoying the hole thing…

Just deactivate the old one as the ilok will use the new one anyway seeing that your license that lapse will just sit on your ilok and do nothing

I bought the upgrade plan today and in my master account it says from 23.01.16 to 23.01.17.. My old plan expires on 23.01.16.. Will it renew my license automatically that date on my ilok? Right now it still says ending 23.01.16..

ok. Avid on their website under "Products -> Pro Tools -> Licensing"

"Annual Upgrade Plan—Get access to all Pro Tools upgrades for just $99/year (available to Pro Tools 11 and 12 perpetual license owners only; not available for Pro Tools | HD)"

actually, in germany (if you are located there, as i am) it is the same with 89€

if you click the "buy now" button, you'll be redirected to avid store but the site doesn't work. Missing graphics, no items are shown... tried it with different browsers, everywhere the same.

i wrote to avid yesterday, asking how to get the 99 USD plan, but they didn't answer my question and said that they'll come back to me with my inquiry.

really curious how this whole update / upgrade thing will work out.
sure thing: i am not willing to pay more than the 99 bucks to get this damn upgrade plan thing, which is so annoying for everyone...

So i have news!

First of all i have to mention that Sweetwater Support Team is AWESOME!!!!!

Avid should take some lessons because its annoying and unacceptable for a big company like Avid to has a support like this!!!

So as i said i bought the Annual Upgrade Plan from Sweetwater and i activated it. I ended up with 2 annual plans and 2 IDs in Avid Account and Ilok but Sweetwater replied me thats not a problem…
Thats the reply from sweet water.

"Hey Nikolaos,

The second product you are seeing in your Avid account is the annual plan you purchased a year ago from Avid. Right now, the Annual plans do not have a way to be renewed, so the license we sold you added a second product to your account. If you look at the dates listed in your account, you'll see your old one, which expires on 1/08/2016 and your new one which expires on 1/03/2017. If you make sure you have the newer license on your iLok, you will be able to keep using your software after the 8th, and from that point forward, you can ignore the second product in your Avid account.

Thanks for choosing Sweetwater!"


So i can deactivate the old one and continue with the new…because AVID has no way right now to renew the annual plans!!!

looks like they have no clue what they are doing right now, yes

i got an answer 10 Mintes ago, that they are updating thir website cause prices and products re changing, and that they will contact me as soon as it's done.
whenever that will be and whatever that means...
i still got 13 days to hope they get their stuff done before my license expires
hopefully with a happy end

fact: avid lied on their website regarding the whole update plan thing, cause NOTHING works as it should

I hope that they will make it in 13 days to rebuilt and renew their website…
Or you can contact sweet water and buy from them the annual upgrade plan…
There is still an option and they are customer-friendly
