Default Any difference with recent Omni's?

Are there newer "bug-fix" versions with various problems cleared up, like better fans, and non-fryable preamp units if you forget and leave the phantom on when you plug/unplug? I've been seeing some "new" maybe older stock units on eBay. I'm wondering if there are certain revisions to look out for. Thanks

Yes and yes. Had an old one from 2010 with a loud fan and the fried preamps due to hot plugging. Now I've got one from 2014 (Rev M) with a very quiet fan and no issues plugging/unplugging mics with phantom power on.

Can't tell you if you need to get a Rev M, though. Maybe those changes have been made in earlier revisions already.

+1 I have a 2014 revision M as well and all is good. Very quiet fan and no pre amp issues.
