Minimized Display wont return to Desktop

I'm scratching my head....1st) Win 7 64bit w/PT11 . When i minimize the PT11 window (top right corner slash) and it drops down to the Task Bar....i cant reopen PT. No other program does this on my PC. Everything works fine.....only PT. I've looked for settings inside PT and couldnt find anything..... and i dont think its a Windows issue since no other program does this. I've tried redoing the Shortcut Icons, thinking that maybe there was a path issue....but no luck. The Icon shows up in the Task Bar (after i minimize) and when i click on it I get a "This dont work u Idiot" noise. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried using alt+Tab to switch back to Pro Tools? It should restore the window.

Try hovering your Cursor over the PT Icon until you see the Peek, then Right Click on the Peek and Restore or Maximize.

I have the same issue. I right click on the pt tab and choose a recent session then click cancel when it asks you to save the current session . Pain in the ass mind

that was working for a while.......but not anymore for some reason...there appears to be a missing file or something.

well i managed to reinstall the missing .msi file so i can at least do this....click on a recent session and then cancel when it asks to save current session.....yes ....pain in the arse...but better than not being able to open at all......something is rotten in Denmark

Ahhh this drove us crazy on 11...it seems to be fixed on 12, but I feel your pain.
We would forget then remember just after we minimized it.
