Do I or Do I NOT install Hardware Drivers PT 9
I bought the LE upgrade to PT9. I have a recording system that is PC based that has the 003 attached. I have a Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6 that I use for editing and mixing only. I used to use an Mbox as a dongle on the MAC, but I sold it and bought PT9. I am updating the software on the MAC and will never attach to a hardware interface on this MAC computer.
Should I be updating the drivers per the manual and hooking the MAC to the 003 and then load the software per the manual? or...just load up the software and go. I don't want this MAC to start looking for hardware and giving me the typical cant find hardware error message... Anybody have the same sort of thing going on that can help? Ross

If you are certain you will never attach the 003, then I would guess there is no real reason to install drivers. I would download them anyway and maybe burn them onto a CD-R so you have them if you ever find the need(so you don't have to go scrambling for them due to some surprise)
