Default Re: T-RackS 5 available for pre-order

I've been using T-Racks since the late 90s (or whatever that first dongle needed version was lol). Currently, I think I have Deluxe and the plugins. I didn't receive any email. I've been a registered user for over a decade :-(.

Just bought the basic upgrade, looks like quite an improvement in the GUI, and the master match sounds like a great idea if it works!

If you send your IK username and registered email via PM I can have someone look into why you didn't get an email. Thanks.

In the same boat and I've been round and round with support on this and no joy. Wouldn't have known about it if not for this forum just as I wouldn't have known about the new Ampeg collection if not for surfing the IK forums.

That's right - there's a new Ampeg collection; the 'new' B15 is actually the Heritage reissue from a couple of years back. Would really liked to have seen non B15 Portaflex amps though - they do exist

The last email I got from Ik was December of last year. Maybe they purged a spreadsheet somewhere or database and I went away. My guess.

Peter, I asked this on the IK forum but I don't feel like I've gotten a satisfactory answer so I will try to ask here in a different way.

I own a lot of IK plugins. I love the way they sound.
I do not love how much CPU they take up or some of the standard PT GUI elements that are ignored (i.e. option-click sets parameter to default.)

What I want to know is, are the Version 5 plugins re-coded or improved from version 4.

or is V5 just 4 new plugins, a rack and a new GUI? If this is all I'm getting for a $99 upgrade, so be it, I may do it anyway.

But if I do the $199 upgrade to MAX, am I getting re-coded plugins updated for V5 or am I really just getting the same Plugins with new GUI etc…

thanks in advance for your answer.

best

They are not re-coded (DSP-wise) but there will be some sonic improvement in some cases due to running in the new framwork/audio engine. This is answered in the FAQ on our forum: http://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/...p?f=13&t=14225

T-RackS 5 is a major update, you can see the "What's New" and the supporting information on the T-RackS 5 web page.

Thank you.
