Default Re: Avid Complete Plug-in Bundle

Thanks, Weed.

>>Because all the plug-ins you think are included in your perpetual license aren't.

I wasn't really aware of all that's missing from Perpetual until I was looking through the most recent plug-in guide pdf.

I saw lots of things I've never heard of (mostly EQs and comps).

It seems like most of the Stompbox Effects are included, but it looks like none of the Dynamics and EQ bundle is there at all.

I'm paid up with Perpetual till May 2024; so I think the $49.99 annual is probably worth it.

For that price, it's worth it just for the Pro Series plugins and ReVibe.

Thanks for weighing in. I'll have to check and see what the Pro Series are all about.

But I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying I already have everything other than the Aphex Bundle?

I should have looked further before posting; since then I found this, but I'm still a bit confused:

https://www.avid.com/plugins/avid-co...-plugin-bundle

I already have all the AIR Effects, Filters and Emulators, the Reverbs and Delays, as well as the Stompbox Effects.

I think the only thing that isn't included with Perpetual Licenses is the Dynamics and EQ bundle. I've never seen any of the Fairchilds or Pultecs.

I think dg27 is looking for a list of what's in the perpetual license asset versus what in the Complete Plug-In Bundle. You know - a side-by side like other developers do when they have multiple versions of a plugin. I know I'd like that.

And what happens if you go for this and say you don't want the next year subscription. I know the plugins that are exclusive to this bundle won't work any longer but what about those that are in the perpetual PT license asset? Will thos still work as if one never purchased the bundle?

That's exactly what I was hoping to find somewhere on the Avid site. (I certainly wasn't expecting anyone here to create such a list.)

Yikes. This is something I hadn't considered and a big concern. I use the EQ3 and D3 CL all over the place, as well as quite a few of the stompboxes.

Hoping someone can shed light on this; if not I'll contact support before I pull the trigger.

Thanks.

No doubting the Avid Complete Plugin Bundle is great value - but, just addressing these plug-ins:

Dynamics III and EQ III come bundled with Pro Tools.

Perpetual Licenses - Stompbox Plugins from the Avid Store @ US $4.99 each:

It looks like most of the AIR Effects, Filters and Emulators, Reverbs and Delays, as well as some of the Stompbox Effects are included.

The big gap seems to be the Dynamics and EQ bundle.

Have you contacted support?

I contacted them today concerning the excellent point musicman691 raised but have not heard back.

You can also download plug-ins from their individual product pages:
https://www.avid.com/plugins/focusrite-d2-d3#Downloads

https://www.avid.com/plugins/pro-compressor#Downloads

Just add the plug-in name after this: https://www.avid.com/plugins

For example:
https://www.avid.com/plugins/smack
https://www.avid.com/plugins/x-form

Scroll to the end of the page and select your download from the drop-down menu

Another way to search Avid for your plug-in:
Google “site: avid.com” (without the inverted commas) then add the plug-in name – for example:

site: avid.com smack

The above line takes you to:
https://www.avid.com/plugins/smack
