Default New To MIDI

Hello. I'm a MIDI newb. Just installed ezdrummer 2 and I'm wondering if there is a way to sync The ez mixer with Pro tools. I usually mix audio with the Pro tools Automation method, (Write, Touch, Latch, etc.) But I would like to know if there is a way to mix MIDI/Instrument tracks by just using ezdrummer2and or Pro tools? This question may seem confusing but that's where I'm at!
Right now I have to jump back and forth when mixing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
