Default Firmware downgrade required on HDN Card switching from PT 11 to 10

After being re-assured by Avid's website that you can switch easily between pro tools HD 10 + 11 without any trouble, I thought I would go back to 10 for a while whilst all the Slow plugin developers get their act together.

Upon trying to start up pro tools 10 it turns out you need to downgrade the firmware on your hd native card in order to use 10 again.

Not quite the easy straight forward process Avid promised it would be..

I wish I never upgraded to pro tools 11 now

You are the first person I've seen report this. It is certainly not the norm.

I switch back and forth and haven't touched my firmware.

Maybe try reinstalling?

Same here. No change in firmware when I upgraded to 11.

I use 10 and 11 daily and switch many times a day on Native.

You DO know that it's not ANY PT10 version, but only the latest you can run with PT11 installed, right?

Make sure that you download the PT 10.3.6 version and the AIR instrument installer aswell as it is a separate download for the VI's in 10.3.6 which is the ONLY version that is working as a Co-Install.

Best of Luck
Chris
