i figured out your issue .. you are playing badly for the Buffalo Bills and it is reflecting on your Pro Tools System .. !! sorry .. was just too easy ..

Getting this as well. Win 10. Moving audio and MIDI around does it. Unusable for me, back to 12.8.1

I got it.... hope they can play better.

Have you tried uninstalling pro tools and deleting all preferences folders and cache and reinstalling? Helped my PC.

Did you have the specific recurring access violation problem?

i know it is LeSean but so close ..

if you Toggle your Playback Engine Settings - Buffer !! just changing it from say 256 to 128 as an example, does this serve the same purpose as reboot pro tools ?? i should try and be helpful and not just post some weird Football reference !!!

Oh, yeah, that guy, who called Chip Kelly a racist. To my knowledge, we're not related.

Changing the buffer settings often got me out of runaway video errors, but I haven't tried it with this scenario. You can be sure I will the next time it comes up.

I have had some in the past week. I would have to go back in reliability to see if the error persisted in the records.

I had the same issues with 12.8.2 R2 on Win 10

Went back to 12.8 which is stable for me.

Configuration: 3770K PC, Asus P8Z77 MB, 512 G SSD, 16 G Ram, Gigabyte 950, Motu 1248, Win 10 - up to date but always offline (all standard DAW optimizations), Pro Tools 12.8, Waves Gold, Kontakt Komplete, Command 8, MidiSport 8x8, Turbo Mode Off in BIOS, C-states Off in BIOS, WiFi Off in BIOS, BT Off in BIOS, On-board sound Off in BIOS, HPET Off in BIOS, uninstalled App Manager & Web Services.

Sorry to ask again, but has anyone submitted a ticket on it? In a bit of rush, I didn't back up my crash logs from 12.8.2, so I think I'll get a long-winded shrug out of them.
