Default Transient or Input problems

I do use my Apollo Twin DUO2 since a year and never had any problems with recording.
Since shortly I notice that all my Transients are looking way to full, I don't find a nice balance between my Input gain,Transient and output.
Please see my attachments.
I recorded some vocal with using the Neve Preamp, setting Input level on -55 and recording level in protools around -5.
The transients are looking way to big. I need to go to -30 with the transient to make it look normal, but the volume is way to low when I do this.
I never had this problem, its at the moment on all my Vocal and Guitar recordings.
Im wondering if this is just a preference setting mistake?
I hope someone can help.

Thanks, Marcel

Wave height does not necessarily correspond to volume. Just shrink the graphic representation of the waveform and see if, after recording at your usual settings, things are okay.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Yes, there is a waveform zoom feature just because some tracks you want to record hot and others not so ... but you wish to see the waveform in a certain way.

As said, don't worry. You would clearly hear if it is clipping. You just have wrong waveform zoom setting.
