Default Undecided about Pro Tools 8.01 need advice

Hi
I am currently running Pro Tools 8 no cs updates my dilemma is I am really not experiencing any real problems, but i was wondering do i need to update to 8.0.1, are there any benefits from doing the update,any improvements in PT 8.0.1 I have PPC G5 DP 2.0, 8 Gigs Ram.

There are some GUI changes that you may or may not like..

If you do not have any of the problems listed on this link, then I would say that there was not much "added".. The faster horizontal scrolling was a plus for me.. That's about all i can think of..

I really dont need to, I just thought that maybe there were improvements in the update

Make good image copy of your system before doing any update. That way you can always go back if things don't go well. That way you can try it out and see for yourself if the changes are a plus of minus. Another option is to use another drive (pretty cheap nowadays) and clone your drive and then update.
