Default 12.8.1 Inbound

Avid stock plugins showing version-up to 12.81877

*Probably within the next month.

I've had zero issues with 12.8 - so I wonder what they've got on the fix list.

Maybe commands focus and probably the delay compensation issues some Mac users are experiencing...

zero issues ?!?

so many people have these terrible AAE -9173 errors all the time. It makes me crazy since 1 or 2 Years. I would spent all my money to fix it.
I tested it with every Mac (MBP 4-core, new iMac 4.GHz , new MacPro 8-core) and it is all exact the same.

I hope so much that they finally do something about it. I had Sopport Sessions and requests over 1 Year. But Avid has still no Solution for this.

PT 12 has very big Problems with the AAE Engine. For me it is not possible to finish a pro Mixing Sessions for my Artists with a lot go 3rd Party native Plug Ins (Waves, ..) with a lot of AUX and busses without errors all the time. But that Workflow (3rd Party Plug, AUX, busses, ...) was the Reason I worked all these Years with PT (8, 9, 10).

Its a nightmare . and my CPU is never overloaded (not more than 40-60)

AVID, PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASE do something :)

Yeah, 100% zero issues.

I work in post, my machine runs 10 hours a day minimum and since 12.8 I haven't had a single issue. Not one. I'm the most satisfied I've ever been with PT, and I've been using it since v6.9

Same here. Very few issues over the past years and we work with big artists with loads and loads of VI, Plugins and automations etc. Many AUX tracks with tracks sends but I am pretty sure this has to do with 3rd party plugins used and or outdated software hiding in the folders.

Since there are soo many who doesn't have these issues and many who does this is quite hard to sort and I know Avid techs are working very hard to find a solution.

Here too. Long days and zero issues after 12.8 (and 12.7.1).

There are of course always x.x.1 releases, and they typically happen fairly quickly after the initial release.

Trend, Christopher, P_J,

thats good to hear and gives me a little bit hope.

I have made a test session with no audiofiles (only AudioTracks), 1 Instrument and only WAVES plugs, where nothing works without 9173.

It includes the following Plug Ins:

Scheps 73
Kramer Pie
H EQ
NLS
H Reverb
Kramer Tape
Abbey Road Vinyl
DRP 402
Greg Well Mix Centric
Schups Parallel Particles
L3-LL
Codex

all software is up to date
OSX 10.12.5
PT 12.8
Waves

It would be interesting if this session works with your system.
(If You own all these Plug Ins).

here is the link if you want to try it:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6ptp0ujkt...xu2Qs1sea?dl=0

Its only 220KB (because there are no files in it)

Important: please turn Dynamic Plugin Processing „off“, because there are no audifiles in the session and the plug ins have nothing to do when it is turn „on“.

Would be nice to hear from you.

Frank

Of course, post guys will have fewer issues because they do not use MIDI and VI's. We all know these are PT's weakest areas.
