48 tk mix: drive capacity?
I am starting a 48tk mix at a studio that has requested I bring a harddrive with my tracks. I have a choice of leaving 24 tracks on analog & synching to 24 on pt, or dumping all to pt.
I have to purchase one. I have 65 to 75 min. of music, avg 42 tracks/song. Very dense material, not alot of processing/edits anticipated beyond mutes. The engineer of the studio recommended 10k rpm, scsi, 9gb; however I think it will have to be quite larger. Question: which drive? Question: what capacity/other features? Question: should i just forget about a 48 tk mix in pt altogether? Thanks! vora [email protected] |
