Default Eleverack standalone software

Im not sure if this has been talked about.
But i realy miss a standalone elevenrack program so i dont have to go through The 2 min pt9 boot time to toy with 11r settings.
Anyone know if this is in plans?

This has been mentioned several times. No body knows a timeline or if one will even be made.

vote for it on IdeaScale.

I posted it on ideascale almost a year ago.

It currently has the most votes out of anything else in the Eleven Rack section...!

My guess is that it's in the works. This has to be the next step in Avid's new line of "openess".
They've converted as many 11R users to Pro Tools that they can (from other DAWs) by this time. No need to hold back anymore.

Let's get rid of the only thing that some competitors do "a little" better.

I've also voted on the ideascale

By the way, I seem to remember that Chris (or was it Chimp) said they got it covered, or something along those lines.

Anyone else?

The PT must is the only thing that have kept me from buying one. A standalone GUI as a standalone unit would be awesome

It's also not just about other DAW compatibility.
Many amongst us just want a quick and painless tool to manage our patches and tweak our sounds from the computer.
Having to load PT every time is a pain...and limits this functionality to computers where you have it installed.

So, you're "pplmvr" or as I call you 'peoplemover' . You know, I've voted for a good many of your ideas including this one. In fact, you have the top 2 ideas.

Anyway, I don't think Chris, Chimp or Hiro has ever openly stated that they are working on a standalone GUI. I hope I'm wrong about this. And I bet that the dev team has one on the dev computers.

But now that Avid are saying they are 'listening' to their customers and giving them what they request and it's the No# 1 requested feature so ...

Anyway, Avid won me over with regards to ProTools and will be using it into the future and will buy ProTools 9 plus more RTAS plugins very soonly. But I don't like being forced to use PT for editing, saving and loading patches with 11R. Loading PT is a pain and one of the reasons I don't fire up the 11R as much as I'd like too, to try out new patches from ERUG.

You caught me. I've posted a pretty good amount of stuff, and a lot of it has gotten voted up pretty high. Most of them are pretty small things that I think could improve 11r's functionality; delay spillover, faster switching between patches, amp/cab separation, global EQ, etc.
