Default Using a Yamaha 01V96 with PT?

I have PT 8.03 running on Win 7 64bit with lots of disks and a 6 core CPU.

I have a Yamaha 01V96V2 that I would like to hook up so I can use the faders to mix rather than the mouse.

What is the magic?

No magic to it. Install the optional drivers from your ProTools CD (HUI).
Setup>Peripherals> Midi Controllers

Type Hui, Receive from Yamaha 01v96 port 1, Send to same, Chs=8
Repeat for port 2 to get 16 channels

Make sure your Mixer D/IO Machine Setup is set to USB for the DAW.

Hit the Remote Button.

Anything else you need to know starts on page 191 of the 01V96 manual
