Default Windows 7 released today. Experiences with PT8?

I'm purchasing the $30 upgrade to W7Pro with the .edu email deal that's going on.

Obviously I can't install it until I know for sure that PT8 will work with it.

I was wanting to start this topic so that people could discuss their experiences with trying to get PT8 to work with W7. Post away!

running PT 8.01 with Win 7 x64
Audio Delta 192 M-Audio with beta drivers
plugins from Waves, soundtoys, SPL some
x86 and some x64. Only problem I had
was the NI Kontakt 3.5 freesing the
system. But now I have Kontakt 4 that is
x64 and everything is very stable and
smooth. Im a happy camper. Best system
I ever had

Sounds like there might not be any need to wait for a PT8 update!

So you think it was more of a 32/64 issue with Kontakt than W7? I have 3.5, dont' really need to upgrade, don't have a 64 system. Still no beta drivers for my M audio device, fast track ultra.

I was using XP SP3 (x86) with two 1010LT cards under PT8. Installed Windows 7 x64 fresh and used the latest beta drivers from M-Audio. Both cards could be see and the Windows sound system worked.

However, PT continued to give me DAE 6006 errors on boot. I disabled one of the cards in the Device Manager and then PT loaded. I also swapped the disabled one to the other one and PT still loaded.

So, I guess there is either a driver problem or PT problem... Still mucking with it, but I don't think I can magic it to work on my own.

My experiences thus far.

What drivers should I use if I'm using Windows 7 32 bit?
