Yes, If the ipad has been updating to the latest Avid Control, all must match, so you can't run old versions if iPad has gone to latest. I don't know of a way to revert the iPad apps

New Problem:
I just bought an S1, and now, where as the Dock and the Ipad sync together with v19.9.1.17, the S1 doesn't seem to sync with it and is not recognized in the Eucon Settings. But when I install version 20, the S1 is recognized, but obviously PT Control is not. I can't find anywhere to install PT Control v20. Does it exist?

I have an Ipad 4 and tried to reload Avid Control and got the message 'Avid Control is not compatible with this ipad'
Nuts, do i have to get a new ipad? It looks like an Ipad 4 can only upgrade to 19.9.1.17 Will the Airs work out to 20? It looks like the S1 doesn't recognize 19.9.1.17? Edit: Upon resetting ALL settings on the Ipad (without erasing anything) I was able to get 19.9.1.17 back on., Still, that version is not communicating wth the S1 though. Anybody?

Hey everyone!
I recently moved back to pro tools. Got everything installed (including Eucon etc) then downloaded the iPad app. Eventually got it working then one day restarted my computer and haven't been able to get it to work since. In the Eucon app, I can see my iPad...it is even added as one of 'my surfaces' but on the app none of the channels are showing up. Any ideas? |

Hi there! I am facing similar issues with Avid Control and Pro tools
2 machines, both with the latest EUcontrol version, latest Pro Tools version, same ipad and iphone with latest Avid control connected to the same wifi network Computer 1 running Monterey on a M1 Pro chip - no problem Computer 2 running Big Sur con a M1 chip - EU control connects to devices but Pro tools does not talk to AVID control. Tried deleting preferences on ProTools, restarted a number of times, made sure Accesibility Privacy settings were checked for EUControl and made sure EU Control was ticked under "Peripherals" Any ideas why this might be happening to me? Many many thanks! |

Same problem here. all tablets (with channel strips faintly visible) remain darkened. At startup, S1 and Dock light up with the AVID logo but no fader movement (it always did this on my intel-based MBP) and no connection to DADMAN or EuCon.
All Avid control and Eucon versions are the same. All controllers on the same network. Eucon enabled in PT. What am I missing? Is this a problem with Monterey or maybe the M1 with these versions of Avid Control / EuCon / DADMAN? SOLVED.
Right-clicked on EuCon, selected "Open with Rosetta". After that, everything worked... |

EUCON/EuControl is native M1 does not need to be run in Rosetta. The installer however does need to be run under it.

Thanks for the tip, Eddie! Not really sure why things weren't working before I did this... For the future, how do I specify that the installer must be run under Rosetta? Does this happen automatically, or is there a selection box that must be ticked somewhere?
