Default Help me choose a new Mac & PT license. (Yeah, one of those threads. sighhhh...)

Hell yeah, standard current MBP is a beast compared to the G4 PowerBook (667MHz, 512MB memory) that was the first laptop I used successfully with PT. Sure, things have changed from OSX 10.3.4 & PT 6.4 but still... Performance needs to be balanced. Leave one major bottleneck such as GPU and you'll kick yourself later.

(Memory does not add performance. It only cuts performance if you don't have enough. 16GB is plenty.)
