Default DIGI002 Pre\'s hear them for yourself

i pumped my signal as clean as possible one into the 002 rack pre and one through an RME Pro (no pre)

oh BTW i got the 002 rack in today, thanks sweetwater.

002 pre - RME PRO A/D
Left side = Digi 002 pre #4
Right side = RME Pro (through optical to PTLE)

give a listen i would be curious to hear your thoughts. mine was that the 002 pre pulled some of the lower freq's up and and added a bit more warmth.

INSERT BIG D%$MN DISCLAIMER HERE:
I know that the piece is a wannabe steive kind of thing. though i am not into it (obviously if you listen to it) i chose to do a slower peice fairly clean signal wise. i went slow so that you might be able to pick out bleeds etc. please do not flame me for my bad playing as it is late

Digidude-> does it work under OS9 with the digi 002 control surface's 5.3.2 version? I know digi says that it is only OSX & Pt's 6.0.2 LE however isn't it basically the same box without the faders? It would make sense if that version worked with 002 rack also. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for that Ken!

My vote was instant, (and stuck through the blind testing).

Good thing I already own the 002!

Best regards,

Haigbabe

Maybe I'm just a left sided kinda guy, but the playing was nice. Good example and these are the kinds of things that make the DUC really fun. I think I feel better about the 002 Pre's too.

Thanks for the demo Ken!

I've used my Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro extensively for preamps with my 001. I have the 6 inserts snaking to the back of my 001, and I now have a full patchbay there on the 1402 with any type of in or out, plenty of clean sounding gain, and even a low-cut. For anyone on a budget, the flexibility of the mackie mixers is great! Anyone here, tryi ng to pick up some advice about preamps, if you're looking for more preamps, get yourself one of these mixers!

Sorry, just started routing this way and I love it!

That 13 track thing is obviously skewed somehow. I got 23 and I have a Dual 1ghz.
